It is shaped and polished to the final shape of the pearl. The nacre layers which are made by oysters or mussels in a cultured pearl is replaced with a new technology of far more durable man made nacre material. This modern form of production also assures longevity. This superior AAA shell pearl will keep its shin and color over time.
